Emphasis on independence.

Adults who join PPF Integrated have mild to moderate ranges of intellectual disabilities who have either aged out or graduated from high school. Minimum age requirement is 18 years old. We provide assistance to those individuals and families that need support transitioning to adulthood or those that are looking to participate in a community that builds lasting relationships.  Program participants participate in many transitions within our facility and the community to further develop and generalize independent living skills.

Daily Activities

  • Maintenance of skills: based on each individual’s goals, the focus is on maintaining functional skills which are essential to participating in the community and further developing skills in daily living.

  • Fine Arts: participants work on various crafting projects, music, and dance

  • Daily living: based on individual needs, general daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, self-help

  • Leisure: through interest inventories, participants identify new leisure and recreational activities that they enjoy within the community (sports, library, museum, outdoor rec, dining, bowling etc)

  • Exercise: participants workout 3 days per week at the gym and participate in alternative fitness programs the other 2 days per week (Zumba, yoga, hiking/walking). We do understand that many participants will need to develop ability, stamina, and interest in exercise, which we will cultivate.

  • Community giving: participants participate in various activities such as volunteering that assist local community non-profits in fundraising efforts

  • Vocational: those participants interested in developing vocational skills will be assessed through interest inventories and work with families to develop specific skills needed to succeed
